MAGNIFY

Young Adult Ministry at OLPH Scottsdale

You're Invited to...

Your life!

"Do not be afraid. Do not be satisfied with mediocrity. Put out into deep and let down your nets for a catch."

- Pope St. John Paul II, Pray for us!

We want to build up the church with Young Adults to set the world on fire.  We want to provide a place for people to be loved and come to know, understand and love God by serving one another.  We want to bring back those on the fringes and margins of our community back into the fold.  We want to build-create-develop a positive loving community for OLPH and the community of Old Town Scottsdale.

FORMING DISCIPLES

Using the FOCUS Model of Forming Missionary Disciples, we will: Build authentic friendships that foster an encounter with Jesus Christ, which draws people into a covenantal relationship with God.  Form people with hearts, minds, and habits of joyful, disciplined followers of Jesus.  Invite  people to imitate Jesus and to be Spirit-filled evangelists by going on to win, build, and send send others.

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

Each month, our MAGNIFY Young Adult Group will go into the local and larger community helping others through service opportunities putting the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy into action.

WORSHIP & BRUNCH

After Mass or some time in Eucharistic Adoration, MAGNIFY Young Adults have the oppotunity to pray together and then head off to a favorite hangout for brunch and fellowship.  What better way to spend a Saturday or Sunday morning than with Jesus and great friends

I have spent my entire life in Catholic Schools beginning here at OLPH in Kindergarten, continuing through high school at Xavier College Prep, and ending at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. I have a Bachelors of Science in Middle/High School with a concentration in English and Social Studies. I have been teaching for 7 years, 1 in Douglas, AZ, and this will be 6th year here at OLPH. I was an instructional assistant and substitute teacher my first year and have had the joy of teaching 7th grade for the past 4 years. I am excited to embark on this new journey of teaching and ministry this year! My favorite thing to do outside of the classroom is anything outdoors and adventuring including hiking, traveling, and sharing in life with my friends through food, dancing (especially country), and road trips. I love my family and look forward to seeing my newest nephew in October! My Catholic Faith is the most important thing to me and one of my greatest joys in life. One of my favorite saints is St. Pope John Paul II and his quote, “Become who you were meant to be.”
